GEMR001: Human League - The Things That Dreams Are Made Of

After an extended break, Genetic returns to the fray with a limited edition 7" of a Human League classic. The Things That Dreams Are Made Of was never released as a single but it graced the prized opening track position on the 6 million selling Dare album. 26 years after the original release of Dare TTDAMO finally makes it out as a single. As befits the track, first up is a new mix from the original producer Martin Rushent. The "More Of" mix nods it head to another legendary 70s and 80s producer Georgio Moroder. Big rolling synths are the order of the day. Justus Köhncke also delivers us his mix which updates the sound to the present day but still retains the original structure. Brazilian based Funkosmic also give us a slightly darker take on the orginal for the download package. Also look out for the sister release on Hooj Choons.
